Default Software for Internet Sites & Time Monitoring

Hey all,

I'm realizing that I'm spending way too much time on the internet. Facebook, news sites, etc. are just eating up my time.

I'm trying to find a software that will monitor which sites I'm visiting and how long I"m spending on there.

I don't necessarily want a "nanny" program, because it's just reporting to me. And I don't want some type of filter program as I do a lot of research on medical issues and and many of the filter programs make that impossible.

Oh yea, I've got a Mac if that makes any difference.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Godspeed,
Ed

There is an online tool you can use ( www.e.gg.com) that is a timer. You set the amount of time you wish and when the time is up, the timer rings to let you know. It doesn't automatically time you or tell you where you have been for how long. So, this would only serve your purpose if you wanted to limit yourself to a certain time and know when it was up.

I think you would like to try a web base tool monitoring software. I've try this time tracking software called rescuetime and it work fine for me. I've been using this for almost a week now it does really help. I got this software for trail version only. This tacking software also does have automated time tracking features that allow which application, document, or website is actively being use and for how long does a person spend time on that particular website. And now I've been trying this screen monitoring software called time doctor it is also a good alternative to rescuetime. It also has the same feature like an automated time tracking of rescuetime and so much more.
