I would like to ask when it is necessary or at least advisable to purchase a private SSL when one has a Paypal payment button on the website for the clients to purchase goods or services through the website. Thanks. Merrick |

If on the other hand your site has Paypal integrated where people enter their payment information on your web form, then absolutely, you need to have an SSL cert.

Paypal charges transaction fees. If you had your own system, you wouldn't have to pay those fees.
