Question If I 'share' a page from your website/blog on FB, do you get a notification?

Just wondering.

I was looking for a place on this particular blog to let the writer know I was 'sharing' the page, but I couldn't fine anywhere to contact him. I thought it would be cool if he knew I posted it.

no you don't. Only if this person actively monitors the people who "like" his page he will know.

You can always "Tag" him in the status update in which you are sharing his page. Something like "Very cool post by @......" that, he will get a notification from.

I have to confess I don't know how to tag someone, but I also don't even know if he has a FB account -- wouldn't I have to know that to tag him?

Yes, and yes....

Tagging someone you do by putting an "@" and then writing their name (without space). I learned that myself only a few weeks ago

I think you can only tag people who are your friends though..... not sure....
