Default Flash Button Website Help Please!

Hi I a having real difficulty creating a simple button that goes to another scene for my website...
It is the button "disease" on the home page..

LINK REMOVED

I just want it to link to the scene "disease" and am having problems.
The mouse cursor does not change to a hand when hovering over the button.. All the other links work fine, they are to URL's...
The button "disease" works fine when I "enable simple buttons" in flash..

Any help would be most appreciated its really a simple problem I just need to get my head around these basics to get going i know i can work a lot out on my own just need to understand some simple rules..
Thank you

I removed your link. Put the file in a webpage for people to view and post a link to the page.

As far as "scenes" in flash, don't use them. Nobody uses scenes. You'll find out that it eventually affects loading situations.

Your better off using movie clips (in the same context as scenes) placed on the main timeline with a stop action. that way you have static control over the main timeline and a seperate timeline in the movie clip, use the movie clip instead of a scene. You should really use frame labels to direct the playhead to a specific spot (eg. frame label) using action script on the button. So, let's say your "disease" movie clip is on frame 5 of the main timeline, if you label that frame "disease" and add a stop action on that frame (which will stop the main playhead on the main timeline), you can then use action script on your button with the code of something like: on press go to and play "disease". I hope this helps.

Are you using action script on your button?

enabling simple buttons, simply allows you to view button actions in the developer view, but they won't actually function properly. Buttons should work fully when published.

Hi sorry I have not been on here for ages! Thanks you for the post!
Why are scenes so bad why wouyld they even include them in flash when everyone tells me they are useless? Very strange lol.
Its funny I did manage to get the technique I was using to work eventually but had to create a new project and just try and get the button working. It did work. I then compared that to the project I placed up here and there was NO difference??? I tried to recreate the button several times in different projects, same technique, could never get it working again. Not sure but seemed like a bug to me I am not an amature when it comes to computers and this program does not seem to act normally, perhaps my cracked copy was not so good.

I was using very simple action script in cs4 with the script helper on. Just go to and play (scene disease). Sooo simple I am shocked that it was such a nightmare.

I have since built a website with freeware prog Kompozer in html. I am not very happy with it to be honest and loved the fluidity of Flash and the way animations and movement could be integrateed so easily. I also would like to make simple animations with it. I since uninstalled flash. Do you think there is a rerason it made not sence building that button and why
it worked in one case but never again using exactly the same techniques?

Thank you for your time.
