| For a blogger, of course the biggest challenge when you are writing good stuff is to find people who want to read it. I recently released a website called Grupl that lets the community of members submit their articles and vote on other articles they like so that the whole community can find interesting content. It's called Grupl because members join groups with people of similar interests and submit their articles to one or more groups to ensure it's being read by people who are actually interested in it. Your frontpage is customized to only show popular stories from the groups you are a part of. When they first hear about this, many people think that it sounds similar to Digg (technology social news site). Actually it is similar to Digg in many ways, but the group-based approach makes a big difference. Joining groups and submitting your links to these groups guarantees that your stories are being seen by people who actually want to read them. It builds community, and means the users will be more likely to become regular visitors of your blog! I thought it would be really cool to get the bloggers from the Pavlina forum to start posting their blog entries as a community within Grupl, to build up readership and discover each others' work. I even created a group called "Pavlina" and some Pavlina readers have gotten things started! Grupl is free, so head out to Grupl to join some groups (including the Pavlina group, of course!). Then start posting your articles and spread the word so we can really build up the community! The Pavlina group is here: Pavlina Group Be sure to post some more of your blog entries. To add a button to your blog articles that let people one-click submit and vote on your stories, add a short snippet of code as described here: Grupl Tools. Any feedback or comments are always appreciated. See you out there! Sincerely, Zack Group Powered Content: Grupl |
