I realize this is a bit of a long shot but does anyone happen to know of any outstanding Ruby on Rails development firms in India? We're looking for one for an upcoming project.

oustandingly cheap? or outstandingly good quality?

Are you going to india for the prices, or because you need indian programmers?

Both.

We're bootstrapping the biz and so we're looking for devs who can get a lot of work done while keeping prices low. We've had really good experiences with Indian devs for a previous project but that was in PHP and the new project is in Rails.

The two are unfortunately usually mutually exclusive...

India is the closest to both though.

If I knew Ruby at all I might offer to help you out. But I got no idea.

Could probably learn it in a week.

I'd suggest trying Rent a Coder (www.rentacoder.com). You'll find developers from all around the world there, and there's a good chance you can find a talented developer at a decent price
