Default Shared online calendar

I'm going to be in London for about 16 days in May and have a whole heap of friends and appointments to juggle. Rather than trying to organize it with phone calls and emails, I was wondering whether there is an online calendar I could put up and friends could schedule themselves in?

Does anyone know if google calendar can do that? Or otherwise is there any other tool for that?

Obviously I would want access restricted to just those people I give a link or password to

Google Calendar can do that. Check the settings. You can give read-only access, or add and change appointments.

If you only temporarily want to share access, you might consider opening a temporary google account for the london visit only.

I use and love google calendar! For five or six different people/entities. You can even assign each person a different color, and be able to see the different people's schedule at a glance.

I've set up a calendar specifically for the trip.
However, there seems to be no way of starting the daily/weekly display from 8am instead of midnight.
Also, it seems to be showing 'busy' and 'available' confusingly in the same colour and despite combing the forum and google can not find a way of editing that.
Am I being blonde?

In my daily/weekly view the current time is half-way the screen, which suits me fine. I don't see a setting that changes that.

Haven't worked with that, sorry.
