Is there an advantage of using Skype over AIM video chat?

It appears to be more reliable and has more features. You can call a land line or a mobile line through Skype. It is a paid service though.

I use both Skype and AIM. All of my Mac colleagues/friends like to chat using AIM but I have many more customers and other friends who use Skype. I find the Skype voice and video calls to be more reliable.

I also love the feature that I can call landlines from. Tomorrow alone I have about 5 customer phone appointments and I will be using Skype to call their landline for all of these calls (since I have not bothered to setup landline service at my new office...why bother when I have a cell phone a high speed internet?)
