Hi Guys. I created a Facebook adjuct site to my profile. I really wanted this to be stand-alone as its an activity/biz and I had a year old separate email I was using to send announcement earlier. So the thing is that, the page I created seems only to offer me to send notifications to my friends. Because this is a local activity/biz, this doesn't make sense. I need the page search the separate gmail address I had set up. For the life of me, I can't find it. Can someone explain what I'm missing? Should I just delete this adjust page, and create an entirely new page with a separate login??? |

erm I don't suppose you'd consider posting a link to your site as I don't really understand what you mean. I have my own personal profile. Then, I have a 'fan page' for OldbagofCairo BUT to set that up, I set up a dormant facebook personal profile for me to create the fan page. I can if I wish add a phone number to the info page? I have made my private FB an administrator so I can do most things from my private login. Do you mean you want to promote it locally without paying FB for the privilege? To me Facebook is supposed to be an alternative, but to alot of people its just another way to get away with other things in life they dont want to deal with, basically reality. When people rely on Facebook and make long distance serious/non serious relationships over the net but there's no physical contact which develops most of the feelings.

We had a whole discussion on this a while back. Different people use FB in very different ways. For those of us living thousands of miles apart from friends, family etc built up over, say, in my case nearly 50 years, it's an ideal way of keeping in touch with people it's impossible or very difficult to keep in 'real life' touch with. |
