Default How to link cells across sheets using Google Spreadsheets?

I'm working on a spreadsheet in Google Spreadsheets and creating a financial model. I'd love to be able to pull the model to separate sheet and create a summary where I drop some of the rows off of it. I can do this but it only pastes the values and therefore the summary does not update when I make change to the original model (which is what I want). Any suggestions as to how I can do this?
