Hey all. Planning to switch from PC to Mac and going to get a MacBook Pro soon. Here's what I'd like to do. I'd like to set up my MacBook Pro at the office so that I can use two 20" monitors (like these from Dell: The Dell Online Store: Build Your System) and an external keyboard and mouse. (I wouldn't be using the screen on the laptop at all.) I'd like to be able to drag applications across screens, etc. I know the MacBook Pro supports dual screens in terms of the laptop screen plus one external monitor. However, I'm not sure how I would accomplish the above and whether I need extra software to do it. Anyone know the answer? |

There is an adaptor for the VGA out (not DVI unfortunatly) by Matrox that allows you to power up to three displays from the one output. Here it is > Matrox DualHead2Go and TripleHead2Go for Mac Alternativly....you could just opt for a 30" Apple Display......huge! |

Cool. I came across this article on Engadget talking about that. Definitely sounds like the way to go. Matrox DualHead2Go drives two monitors off one video card - Engadget I'd love to do the 30" but two 20"s and the dualhead2go will run me about $650 which is just a little cheaper than the 30. |
