Default Can anyone recommend a good traffic log analyzer?

Up until now I've been using the free Weblog Expert Lite. I'm curious about looking at other aspects of my blog's traffic that my current program doesn't measure like exit pages.

Can anyone recommend another good program (ideally free)?

Mint is good but not free; Google Analytics is also pretty good and free.

I'll second Google Analytics since it was Urchin before Google bought it out. Slight learning curve, but it will tell you exit pages and you just include a javascript snippet to the sites/pages you want to keep track of.

Also, you can look at open source AWStats which is a perl based traffic analyzer that you install on your webserver, if your web host doesn't already offer some kind of free traffic analyzing software that meets your needs.

I use google analytics...ok, maybe about 1/10th of google analytics, and it's great. It was difficult at first to find out where everything was, but as I've gotten the hang out it, I've been able to actually ask myself traffic trends questions and answer them using the software.

Another one that I've heard is good is the package from Performancing.

Definitely Google Analytics. It's free, good and accurate. It really gave me a much much interpretation of my own stats after I configured it to remove my own internal traffic.

It's a kinda of tricky trying to get rid of my own traffic but for those whose interested, you can find the steps to do it here

Great question with great responses. I'm just starting to focus on building traffic for my websites and I think I might give it a try.

Another vote for Google Analytics here. It has all the features I want (and then some). The intergation with my Google Account is also a very handy feature. It's free too

Another vote for Analytics. Google's doing major work with it, and it's integrated with adsense and adwords.

I use Statcounter (StatCounter Free invisible Web tracker, Hit counter and Web stats) and I'm quite happy about it. It is the only thing of the sort I've ever used, though, so I have nothing to compare it too. But it does the job for me.
