Default What do you guys think of..

The Thesis blogging theme version 1.5.1? I was using a magazine layout for my personal development blog but I decided that it looked to cluttered and took way to long to load! Givin that I just got Thesis working and although it was 87 dollars to buy it came with a lifetime of free updates and its a fully customizable theme for Wordpress. Its pretty much point and click right now, so I am finding it very EASY to get going unlike other themes.

Darren rouse from problogger.net actually uses it along with some other very talented bloggers! To see what it looks like in action check it out on my blog Click the link in my signature and let me know what you think. Thanks and I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

It's got a nice clean look, very easy to spent some time on.

One minus: on broad screens there's a lot of white space left and right and the middle column is too narrow then. I'm using the Atahualpa theme which adapts to different screen sizes and resolutions. See my blog. Use also the control + and control - keys to see the effects, on your blog and mine.

thanks spirit for the advice! I will be tweaking around with the options throughout the week. I believe I can actually change column widths in the options so that will be an easy fix. I like the look of your blog, good work

Hey hey, just a quick suggestion: When titling posts, could you slip a keyword into the title to tip us off on the subject. I bet you'll get more views (and therefore more replies) -- I often skip posts with titles like "What do you think of this?," or very general titles like "money."

I often find myself resorting to something like this: "Thesis Blogging theme: What do you think?" -- putting the subject word in right away.

Just a suggestion!

thanks for the tips, my bad for being vague..While reading forum discussions I usually hover over the title and a little box will pop up with more information from the content inside the discussion. But I could see that being too much work

I just switched to Thesis myself. I'm right now busy with tweaking it to my liking. Your blog looks great. I see you made some changes I did as well.

Thesis is a great theme (framework may be the better word). However, although it works right out of the box, you need to tweak it as the standard styling is a bit dull. If you do not want or cannot do this, as it requires you to add the necessary coding into your costom templates, you're better off with a theme generator like artisteer or another free or paid for wordpress theme.

Thanks, yeah thesis is rocking my socks right now. Although I am having trouble with the automatic thumb resizing (thumb.php). It lets me post pictures of course but on the main page it isn't showing the small thumbs for the other articles. I tried changing my server settings to 755 and even 777 but that doesn't seem to be working lol..but other than that its awesome. Gotta just keep on keeping on and work it till i get it thats for sure
