| Post your favourite RSS/Atom feed aggregator. It doesn't matter whether it's hosted (online) or desktop software. Also please state what you like about it. I am currently using Thunderbird, but it doesn't handle large number of feeds very well. I have about 100 blogs and it's really slows down my whole computer when I do an update. I think the reason is that it's multithreads all 100 blogs and checks them all at once. |

| Google Reader has been rebuilt recently. Hated the old one, in love with the new. |

| Hah. Me too. But I have a sneaking suspicion that the list of news feeds that I read isn't important. To anyone. Ever.

| I use Google Reader at work because I can't access Bloglines on the job. GR has improved, but it's still a little slow for me. Bloglines lets you email individual posts within each feed with two clicks. Your feeds automatically renew every five minutes. Similar to Amazon's, "...people who bought this, also bought..." model, Bloglines reviews your feeds and makes suggestions on what other feeds you might like. Bloglnes is also free. Google Reader will improve, but Bloglines is the straw that stirs the drink for me.

| I started out with FeedDemon, and then moved to Bloglines. But the recent changes to Bloglines really slowed down Firefox for me, so I switched to Google Reader and am absolutely in love with it. I find that I'm able to go through all my feeds in far less time using Google Reader - great for the blogging end of things! |

| I'm a Google Reader man myself. The new interface threw me a little, but I am getting the hang of it. Don't think there's much of a privacy concern in storing public feed data.

| I use Newshutch. They debutted sometime earlier this year and were recommended by 37 signals, so I tried it out and have loved it since. I tried Google Reader once, couldn't enjoy it, ditched it, haven't tried version two. Tried Thunderbird, too; same. Not having any significant problems with Newshutch, so I don't see any reason to try out anything new again. Quote:
I have my own opinions on the subject, but I probably shouldn't bring them up here.

| Another Netvibes user here, mainly because I move between operating systems and want a central place to read things. |

| I used FeedDemon for a long time a while ago. Then I switched to Bloglines and I've been using it for over a year now. I've been meaning to try out Google Reader, but haven't had a chance yet. But since you all seem to love it, I might actually try it out now. |

| I recently changed from Google IG (personalized homepage) to Google Reader 2, it is really the best option for me. I only have a slight problem that I use Flock as a browser and if I click on the RSS button in the URL bar, the feed is automatically added to My News in Flock instead to my Google Reader. Very annoying. I now move now and then all the feeds I collected from My News to Google Reader through the export & import function. But I rather have it added directly to my Google Reader. Anyone have a solution? By the way, Flock is a great social browser which uses Firefox technology.

| I currently use Thunderbird, because I like that I can look at all my email messages and RSS feeds in one place. It helps me be more productive. I spend the morning reading and responding to email, posting blog entries, and noting ideas for articles. When I had my RSS feeds in another tool, I never looked at them. But as someone else wrote, it's slow and I'm starting to be annoyed by that. So I want to know why people like the tools they like. Why do you like Google Reader? I tried the old version, and I didn't like that I had to have a separate Web page open to use it. Same problem with Bloglines. |
