I started with Bloglines, and tried Google Reader when it was updated, but went back to Bloglines, mostly because of GR slow update when browsing posts. If not for the slow updates I'd switch back to Google Reader. See my post called I've used Bloglines, and you Google Reader are no Bloglines… for details.

I have used Bloglines for a long time. I didn't like the interface much, but there was a lack of better alternatives, at least from my point of view, so I kept using it. Until Google Reader V2 came out and I fell in love with it - and I have been using it ever since. There are still some improvements that could be made - and probably will - but among all free online readers I've tested (and I've tested quite a few), Google Reader is the best one around right now in my opinion.

I started with FireFox, moved to Thunderbird. Thunderbird worked for me for quite a while, but eventually I moved to BlogBridge. I have stuck with BlogBridge, despite trying Bloglines and the new Google Reader. Neither of them were quite responsive enough for me. |

I'm using SharpReader. I like his three-pane layout and quick RSS parser.

Another vote here for Google Reader. I love it.

Reordering is pretty limited. Within each folder you've got 3 options, which allow you to sort by date (either ascending or descending) or 'auto' (not quite sure what that does). I always run through from the newest first, and never change the order. No need (for me, anyway). What sort of reordering did you have in mind? |

| It isn't something I've ever noticed - always seems to update frequently here, and I can't see any way to change that. 1 or 2 articles behind sounds like an awful lot; what sort of time are you talking about? 5min or 2 days (or something inbetween)?

| FeedDemon, hands down. It has the most efficient interface I've seen in a feedreader, and has been continuously improved since I started using it several years ago. The integration with newsgator online is killer, because it syncs your read flags so you to use FeedDemon client on one or multiple machines and also read through the web interface if you're not at your machine. --------- Chris Hynes SlickUpload ASP.NET Upload component |
