The key to building traffic is to keep posting, several times (at least 1 per day) until you have around 100 posts. By the, you should have a decent viewer amount and hopefully it will continue from there. The problem with most good blogs is they die off at the beginning because they can't seem to take the 'no traffic straight away' idea. Patience is the key, keep posting and people will find you eventually |

Visit Blogging advice that's different - Skelliewag. awesome site about blogging. definitely guest post at other blogs about foods, go to forums about foods and be helpful there. Go to Yahoo Answers and answers some questions about food and recipes there, leave links to your site there ... |

I think first you should optimize your blog to rank for a keyword. Your blog title doesn't has revelant one. Maybe you might change it to something like "dessert recipe" , "easy recipe" , "recipe idea" ,etc.. Why would you do this ? If you rank high on one of these keyword above you would get consistent traffic from search engine without further promotion. Anyway , there is a problem . your blog seems to be a general recipe blog, not so specific one and the keywords above are quite difficult to rank high as there are so many competittion. You may need to use keyword that is more specific but that means the content have to be adjusted too. Submit your blog to social bookmark site. Below are examples. All News, Videos, & Images Delicious StumbleUpon: Personalized Recommendations to Help You Discover the Best of the Web Home | Propeller There are many many more social bookmark site. The benefits you get from submit your blog to these site are 1.You get traffic from people that browse them 2.When you submit you gain backlink and backlink helps increase your ranking in search engine. You might create videos about your blog and then post on Youtube. This is a good source of traffic and having your link on Youtube increase your ranking dramatically. This is because Youtube has high PR (Page Rank) and get a a special loves from Google. ** Not to confuse PR with ranking in search engine. PR is basically point given to the site that Google sees it is relevant. There are PR 1 - 9 with 9 being the highest and vice versa. Of course Youtube has a PR of 9. Lastly, create content on web2.0. Web2.0 is basically website that user can write content on . Examples are Blogger,Wordpress,Wetpaint,Wikispaces, Tumblr, Quizilla, Bukisa and list goes on... well, there literally hundreds of them. You create article on these sites and then link to your blog. This will kick your blog sky high in seach engine. well, that'll for now. I hope this post helps you. Ace |

How about you use google analytics. You can get a lot more information including sources, so you'll know if perhaps one of your big sources of traffic dried up. WordPress › Google Analytics for WordPress « WordPress Plugins |
