Hi. I'm currently designing a web page for a local company. It is mostly static information, but the customer wants the option to edit now and then (probably 2-4 times a year at most). She needs to edit all pages and upload pictures now and then. She has no experience with CMS and very little with computers. Web hosting is not ordered yet, but I would prefer something local. I have experience with Joomla and Drupal, but can set up anything. So to sum up; - Easy to use - Preferable free - Option to add pictures to a gallery site. Would like some opinions and suggestions. Thanks |

If you already have experience with Joomla it might be the way to go. Wordpress generally has the reputation of being a bit easier to use but if you have already experience with Joomla you might use that instead. |

u can try drupal cms.. its a very secured and seo friendly cms... it will helpful for you many ways.. Drupal was designed for community-based Web sites and has strong user role and access control functionality. You can create as many custom user roles with custom access levels as you need. For example you could create the following roles, each with different levels of access to your features: "anonymous visitor", "authenticated user", "moderator", "editor", "webmaster", "admin". You can keep the advanced user management features (like multiple blogs) turned off if you don't want them, enabling them later if your site grows to a point where you would like to add more community features.

Wordpress is not really a CMS but is good enough, and I'd recommend it to anyone who doesn't know what they're doing with computers. There are loads of good addons that make it very powerful. Joomla is FAR too complicated for what you need. |

Just so everyone knows: this post is from March. It's likely the OP has already settled on a solution. I would have recommended WordPress, since it sounds like a simple site, and WordPress is easier to use than Joomla or Drupal in my opinion. |

We just converted our website, which I had previously programmed myself over to a CMS site and are using dotnetnuke. I am very happy with the platform, although some people might be put off because it requires a windows host. Easy to configure, lots of great modules to add on. |
