Hello, In my website, I will include a section for wallpapers. Now, for sure I don't own any stuff. My question is, can I download the files from the free wallpapers sites and add them to mine? Are there any sort of restrictions to that? |

Yes, in general there are restrictions. You can make an image and put it online for others for free, but you still hold the copyright for it, so others can't simply take it and redistribute it. Unless the site specifically states that you may redistribute them, you're probabaly not in the clear. On the other hand if the images are public domain or under creative commons license that lets you redistribute them, you're fine. If you're actually going to get cought for doing this, is a whole other matter. |
