How to change post count on Wordpress archive pages
 

Is there a way I can have my month and category archive pages display a different number of posts than my main blog page on a Wordpress blog?

I've seen that there's a way to change the number of posts displayed by the blog, but this would effect all parts of the blog, not just the archives. Is there an option I missed somewhere, or is it possible to do this by editing the archive templates in some way?
