Default Best netbooks?

Over to you: what netbook should I get? I'm looking for a cheap option, also for durability and lightness as I'll be travelling with it. Waterproof, fireproof, acidproof, frostproof, lavaproof and magic-resistant would help too.

Default best netbook

I spent a long time shopping for my netbook. What really decided me was going in to J&R (a major electronics store) and looking at the netbooks they had. It's very good for you to get a feel for the computer--just looking online will not give you the best idea of how tiny these things are. Sometimes too tiny is just too tiny. Before I went to J&R I was thinking of getting an Asus or Acer netbook, as they're quite popular, but I realized after seeing them in person that their usual 8.9" screen was ridiculously small. I kept looking online and I found the ideal one for me, the lenovo ideapad s10:

Amazon.com: Lenovo Ideapad S10 10.2-Inch Netbook (1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, XP Home) White: Computers & PC Hardware

The screen is 10.2" and the thing weighs 2.7 pounds...perfect for me because I'll be traveling around Europe this summer. I got mine new on ebay for $300. But don't let just one person convince you...go somewhere and get a feel for which netbook you like. After spending months looking, though, I think I made the best choice.

Questions you should ask include "Do I want an internal cd/dvd drive, do I want it to run on windows, linux, or osx, how big of a hard drive do I need, how much ram do I need?" etc

Here are the best sellers on Amazon, many of them netbooks:

Default

I have a eeePc 1000hd. It has a 10 inch screen, 160GB hard disk, and I installed windows 7 beta on it. Runs very very well and I use it every day for about 3h (train and busses from and to work).
