| Are there any good CMS, like Drupal, e.g. which support MSSQL database? 1. I've tried Geeklog, which has support for MSSQL, but I think (the first impression) Geeklog is not as customisable as Drupal. 2. Joomla is too big... and is there a stable version with MSSQL support? 3. Drupal... as far as I can get from their forums, MSSQL support is still in very early testing stage.. 4. Something else? Thanks |

| You can actually pretty easily use Wordpress as a CMS with just a few modifications and plug-ins. |

| I'd also suggest looking at WordPress. Most of the open-source CMS products tend to be very large, and very difficult to manage.

| I think you should be checking out your system. I have never experienced MySQL crashing in my 5 years of web development. Why do you think so many millions and millions of web sites use MySQL.....becuase its secure, reliable and free! |

| Heh. Read again. "What does MySQL not do that MSSQL does??" MySQL does not crash randomly, like MSSQL does. |

| I started working with MODx this week, and its pretty easy and flexible. I am having a hard time, but thats cause I dont know wth I am doing, but even i have been fumbling through making some good progress. MODx Content Management System | Home It doesnt support MSSQL tho... |

| Another vote for Wordpress. The latest version just came out and it looks like they are aiming to make it into a cms down the line. You can put in static front pages now, easy integration with a few shop plugins etc.

At any rate, I also vote Wordpress. It's a very nice CMS. In other choices: Community Server is created using MSSQL and .NET, and while not open-source, it has free versions available. There's also SubText, which is open-source; however, I didn't use it enough to tell you whether it's good or bad. |

| I don't know if I'd refer to WordPress as a full fledged CMS...... Take a look at CMS Made Simple. It's open source (free!) and should have support for MSSQL.
