Default How To Convert A Template to wordpress theme?

I am just curious on how to convert a template to wordpress theme. Any one here ventured in this area and got result?

It's pretty easy, actually... all you have to do is insert the elements of "The Loop" in the right spots!

I mean if i were to create a template in gimp (without any html coding) how to convert this template into wordpress theme.

Well, uh, in that case you first have to make an HTML page that looks like your gimp template!

Are you familiar with HTML and CSS? If so, you ought to be able to slice and dice your source image and make a functional HTML out of it. If not, then, perhaps you should look around the web for a web builder who can do it for you.

i think i can handle html and css. When you say slice the image and make a functional html how to do it basically? Can i do it in evrsoft front page 2006?

That depends on your design a little. For example, for my site, I first made the background by hiding all the menu text and social media logos. Then I made separate graphics for the main menu and the row of logos at the bottom. Using CSS, I put everything in the correct spot again and, voila, instant HTML!

Seriously, just use a decent code editor to type your html and css in.

I hired somebody on Rent A Coder to do it for $75
