Default Vista voice recognition Software and MacBook

I own a macbook but lament the fact that there is no voice recognition software like the Windows Vista that Steve wrote about:

Voice Recognition Software

Should I buy a cheap Windows laptop just for this vista? Or if I bought this would it be better? Mac Virtual Machines and Virtual PC. Automation and Virtualization Software for Desktops, Servers, Hosting, SaaS - Parallels

Look into MacSpeech Dictate. It's by the makers of Dragon Naturally Speaking (Dictation software for PC), Nuance. I don't have a mac so I can't recommend it so be sure to look for reviews...

It's kinda expensive.

Does the Parallels software (Windows on Mac) include the voice recognition software?

I think Parallels gives you only Windows XP, not Vista (I may be wrong though). And XP's built-in voice rec. software sucks big time...

MacSpeech isn't that expensive though, you can get it for less through Amazon or ebay ...

I noticed that Mac does have a voice recognition system, but it doesn't transcribe, unlike Vista.

I think I might as well buy a new Vista computer. What would be the cheapest vista laptop be?

Or could I install Vista program after buying it on my Macbook?

As an aside, Macbook has terrible keys (it has a bad touch) and you can't type in page numbers for the PDF readers, so you have to drag the pages down if you want to skip some significant amount of pages

You get used ones from Amazon and ebay from $600 and new ones from $900 I guess.

At least with that you could run the windows version of Naturally Speaking. Version 10 just came out and is at least as good if not better than the stock program on Vista. As for MacSpeech Dictate, it isn't updated quite as much as the windows version, and so is at least a couple generations behind, though some may find it to be good enough (I haven't tried it).
