| Hi Dave, One of the programs I use is called Audacity Audacity: Free Audio Editor and Recorder It is free (I think it still is anyway) and will export the sound file to MP3. I hope that helps, |

| No. If you've got an MP3 of your voice, then you must convert it to an audio disc format. Many CD burners will convert and burn it for you - I use one called Ashampoo Burning Studio that does it well and is fairly cheap - select the 'Create Audio CD' option. If you convert to MP3 in between you just loose voice quality for no good reason. You should safe in .wav or another looseless format in between. You need a burning program with a 'Create Audio CD' to have a CD that plays on standard CD players. A lot of PCs have installed Nero or another program when you buy them.

| Brutha is correct, .wav is the format you need to save in if you want it to play on any cd player. This should be done first to preserve sound quality for the cd, if you want to send it over the web convert it to mp3 from the .wav file.

| If you use the open-source, free program ImgBurn then you will easily be able to burn audio discs from any format (wav, mp3, ogg). It's also a handy program to quickly burn data disks. Much better than some of the commercial software available because those programs run slow and are quite bloated!

| To be clear, you want to burn it as an Audio CD and close it as someone mentioned. This ensures that it is encoded for players, not just computers. Wav format is useful for recording but that is not the final format of a standard audio CD. .wav and .mp3 are digital formats that only some players recognize. Note also that .wav is a Windows format, not a standard. You don't need recordable CD's that are branded as for audio - its the same media. If the CD player is old enough, it may not play recordable CD's. That's not common now though. Oh, and don't use CD-RW, just CD-R's. |

| hi, thanks for the continued help everyone, dave |

| Hi, Why would you like to burn it on a CD to sell online. Sell it as a download and have your customers burn it for themselfes if that is what they want. I believe that most peolpe would rather listen to it as a mp3 file on the player, ipod etc. There are good scripts (and even free) to be downloaded that you could use. Contact me by PM or email if this is an option for you. I'd be glad to point you into the right direction. Hope this helps. Phil
