Question Help - Improve typing speed

Does anyone know any good typing programs out there to improve your typing skills or any tips to type faster?

free typing programs?
good quality paid typing programs?

Mavis Beacon pretty much rules the roost. Damned good program, I think I learned typing on it.

I agree - I used Mavis a few years ago and it really helped...! Def worth checking out!

Although I started learning to type on the typing programs, one thing i found really useful to get into touch typing was visualization. I used to visualize everything that was being said or thought of by me onto a projected keyboard as if I were typing it. Within a few weeks i was touch typing like an expert, it works a charm
