Hi everyone So for a while I've been toying with using excel to grab real time stock data. It's very possible and there are endless ways to do it. Does anyone already do this and could you point me in some decent direction? I'm a pretty good programmer and would not be hesitant to crank something out in C#. I'm just not sure where to get started. There are a variety of sources of stock quotes, like Yahoo, MSN, Google, but I'm not sure what methods there are for accessing the data programmatically. Any advice? Thanks |

Well as an update, I started trekking through the painful forests of C# and I've managed to get a program that pulls quotes from a text list and then updates an excel spreadsheet in real time via an excel COM object. Reasonably straightforward. I'm still lacking a lot of functionality. I've been reading things about RTD servers which I believe will be my next step. |
