Exclamation Mutiple Copies of Emails in Outlook

I'm hoping someone here has a solution for me as it's starting to drive me crazy. For certain messages received in Outlook I will receive the message in triplicate. I did some research online and it talks about messages being downloaded from the server multiple times but I do not believe this is my issue. Rather I believe its related to my rules as it appears only to happen to those messages that are routed into folders when my rules are applied.

Has anyone else had this experience and how can I stop it? (I mean besides deleting my precious rules ) It is also multiple accounts, not just one email account. I have several email accounts ending in our business domain downloaded into my Outlook account so it's not isolated to a particular account.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer

Crazy With Emails

On closer examination it may also have to do with Yahoo Group emails. Although it appears that some group emails are duplicating while others are not. I have a few classes I participate in that utilize the Yahoo Group platform as well as some other discussion groups. All of these messages are routed accordingly using rules. Sigh, is there a way to narrow down what is causing the issue?

Have you tried deleting and recreating your outlook profile? This worked for me before.

Thanks Simon. Due to the number of profiles I have setup I would prefer not to have to delete them and reconfigure them if possible. I resorted to deleting my rules yesterday which seems to have fixed the duplication issue temporarily. This has happened to me a few times so I'm sure the duplication is bound to come back.

I wish I could find a clear answer as to what causes this and how I can prevent it for happening in the future.

Tanya

On another note
I came across this page on the net, Outlook Email Problems: Duplicate Emails about Outlook issues. There are a few solutions for stopping the duplicate messages which I have not yet tried. I'm going to do some testing and see what I can come with.
