I've never seen anything like these two pingbacks I received to one of my posts:
A Singer’s Life Blog » Blog Archive » Renee Fleming in Lucerne Last Night

As a newbie blogger, I'd appreciate if someone could take a look and tell me if these are legit or not.

And it looks like the other one is possibly similar. It seems to just ping back to any and all blog posts, no matter what the topic.

The first one seems like an accident. The second one I would strongly suspect of being spam.

But even when it is spam, you have an site linking to youwhich is good for your google page rank.

Random interjection:

If a spammy site links to you it will do almost nothing for your page rank. The power of a link is based upon many things of which spam sites generally have none.

I had a somewhat similar experience, but the site did give me credit for my blog post and hasn't been a nuisance so I didn't do anything about it.
