Default Problem with StumbleUpon toolbar when "discovering" a new site

Hi guys,

Has anyone else experienced this?

I can "thumbs up" and review sites which are already upon StumbleUpon, no problems, but when I try to "thumbs up" a new site and get the box to review it, enter my review, etc -- it doesn't give the "rating submitted" message but just stays blank. When I try to look at reviews of that page, I'm told it isn't in StumbleUpon ... and the "thumbs" on my toolbar both turn blue again, as though I'd never tried to rate it in the first place.

This is in IE 7 but the same happens in Firefox (except the box vanishes), and I also can't discover a new site by using the Welcome to StumbleUpon etc etc ...

Does anyone know of a fix? I'm not sure if it's my account, my computer, or what! I'm not getting any sort of error message, but my discoveries just don't seem to "stick".

Thanks so much in advance for any help!

Ali

Hi Ali,

No, I haven't experienced this myself. I'm using Firefox.

Perhaps it's something to do with the Stumbleupon toolbar? (Although you say it doesn't work when submitting via the SU site itself either... hmmm. Okay, I'm stumped!).

I assume it used to work? Have you changed anything since then (installed a new program, for example?) - anything different about your computer?

Maybe rebooting it will help (my husband, who works in IT, often jokes that computers sometimes just need a re-boot to the head )!

I'm having a lot of problems with Stumbleupon of late. More often then not giving the thumbs up has no effect, or if that works I cannot add a comment. Often it won't let me add friends or do any other normal functions. I usually have to copy the code directly into the toolbar!

And this happens on all three computers in our house!!! If anyone wants to add me as a friend I will endeavor to reciprocate as soon as it lets me (same user name). David365
