| I have a site that I just revamped by converting it to a forum website of a different topic. The website's name is TheNotaryForum.com I just changed the content of the forum from notary related to military related. The domain throws you off I know, but I cant afford more domains right now....so I have to improvise....to save money..... I also figured that since other sites that are more popular than mine have the word military already in it, this could be opposite of it. I am sure that the spiders will see the subcategory of "Military Chat" and hopefully adjust accordingly for keyword searches? My google adsense ads are still showing advertisements from Notary websites. The reason I revamped is because of inactivity and spam. I know there's probably tons more military forums out there that outweigh mine in popularity and membership, but I figured if I give it a try...and do my best, I can see what happens atleast. I have a friend who is a full fledged Marine Jar Head that I just emailed about my site. I haven't received a reply yet but I only sent my email a few minutes ago...so we shall see Don't ask me to go back to being a notary forum because I am not going to try that now... My question is when will google adsense spiders relook at my site and see its a military themed site now? Will my site still continue to post notary ads because the domain name has "Notary" in it even though the content of the site will have military? However I do need everyone's advice on it....please??? Thanks!

| Not too long, give them a few days to re-crawl your site and pick up on everything.

| I agree with James, though the effects would only be visible once you start adding military related content. |

| Just a thought, and I'm a bit confused too. You stopped the notary forum because of spam and inactivity. But aren't you still going to get spam and won't you still be inactive?? I'm not being mean, but just changing the content won't be enough, I would think. ""other sites that are more popular than mine have the word military already in it, this could be opposite of it. "" But it's still going to be advertised as a notary site and that's what people are going to think they land on when they get there. Have you thought about selling the domain name? It wouldn't have to go for much. I know nothing here, but say $100, that would give you more than enough to set up a new forum with a new domain. Lots of folks have no clue how to set up a forum and might be interested in settling into one ready made. Tayrak |

| how to submit your page to search engines: Add your URL to Google Add your URL to Yahoo Don't do it more than once a week & be patient. The bots are pretty good about updating, except for www.live.com, which also has a SE submit but is terrible with updates & search engines results are inaccurate. Live is popular because it is default on IE 6,7 so submit it there anyways EDIT: Just put your site in your signature on these forums & bots will crawl w/i the day Last edited by andyoyo : 04-20-2008 at 10:57 PM. |

| All the content is still Notary-related, so even if Google does index it, the ads probably won't change. Google does look at the domain when indexing and domains are less than $10 ... might be worth the investment.

| I'm wondering if writing to the team at google adsense and telling them about the problems you face would help. One of my friends have written to them about other issues and they have replied. Evelyn |
