My blog stopped working this morning.
I went to post and I got a blank screen. No error. Just empty.

It stalls on this page when I hit 'publish':/wp-admin/post.php

Effects new posts as well as editing old posts.

Anyone seen this before?

I just wanted to check if there's an easy fix before I update wordpress.

Try and delete browser cache and try again, also it might be due to hosting issues because I haver personally seen this happen when server load is quite high.

I've checked, definitely not a cache issue and doesn't appear to be server related as the problem is persisting even without any load.

Very strange. It looks like I might need to reinstall WP ... ?

What was the last plugin you installed when you started noticing the errors? Maybe a change in the code is causing the blank screen to appear.

I'd try deactivating the last one and attempt to post again.

That's the weird thing, I haven't installed a plugin in ages.

But there was a WP update that went through, maybe that broke it.

I just updated to WordPress 2.5

BUT I still can't POST!!

Completely copied over the existing install ... so how the hell does that work?

What is the exact error? Is there any error message that appears or is just *completely* blank?

Try and repair the database through phpmyadmin. If it does not work, download a backup of the db, do a fresh install of wordpress and restore the db

The screen is just completely blank. No error. It just hits post.php and stops.

The blog works in every other way - my content displays fine.

The update went through and altered the database without error, so the structure looks fine to me, I think I might need to back it up and drop and recreate it entirely.

Deleting the database fixed the problem.
