I just wrote a blog article that has to do with both of those topics, not necessarily technology with education, but about technology and education.

Perhaps it will help you in a small way--here is the link:

I need to explore benefits of using technology from kids, student to adults. benefits in education. And i'd like to know does lack of technology means lack of education in world today.

Hi.

Technology and Education. Hum... well, the first thing that does come to mind is the Internet. Makes my life as university student a lot easier - hand in assignments per email, coordination/discussion with other students, and Wikipedia to name a few conveniences.

Well, that one was probably obvious.

The second thing that came to me was something I read about in a book a while ago. There is a program for dyslexic students that scans text and reads it out loud while highlighting the current sentence; there is probably nothing preventing this from helping children learning to read.

Which reminds me of educational software. Solving math riddles in a game is so much more fun than boring text book exercises.

Another thing I came across a while ago is Avida, an artificial life simulator, which has been adapted to demonstrate the concepts of evolution in biology class.

Well, that's all I can think of right now.

Good luck with that article.
