If anyone is interested in improving their SEO, your first priority is understanding just what exactly Search Engine Optimization is. A site that I would highly recommend for beginners to read is Steven Bradley's blog: SEO Basics Tutorial - TheVanBlog It'll teach you just what exactly SEO does, what keywords are, how to properly link build, among other important things.

Hi James, I unfortunately agree with Gordon, and I will explain, there is only one reason, And tell you the truth, as an article it looks great, you probably get and A if you had to hand it over in school, so, where's the problem? it's like a speech, Poeple on the Internet don't want to read a speech, (It's like all those company who start their web site as Welcome to ..... we are a respectful company since....bla bla bla) who cares? Only the ones who are still interesting in what you have, after they read the whole article! so, take it a constructive criticism, Cheers

Believe it or not, I actually have nothing to do with the operation of this website or it's blog. So it's not my article, it was written by Steve Bradley (aka vangogh), an administrator of Webmaster-Talk, forums, of which I'm also an active member there. He runs his own hosting company, as you may be able to tell from the URL, and I felt his blog could be a useful resource for the forums. (And no he's not compensating me or anything to say this about it.) So if you guys aren't a fan of the way he writes, that's alright. Just thought it would be a good starting point for those new to SEO.
