Rosie is on a distinguished road
Default website in google

Hi everyone

I recently created a website.

I was hoping you could help me with something. When I go to google, and type in georgetown daycare centre, my website doesn't come up on any of the pages. It only shows up when I type: georetowndaycare.ca in google. How do I make it so that my site comes up when you go to google and type in georgetown daycare?

Thanks a bunch,

Rosie

Well, to start with, "Home" isn't a good name for a website.
Google for "Search engine optimisation" or "SEO," and you'll probably get some good ideas of where to start.

You only mention the words "Georgetown daycare" once on the homepage of the site, google will have trouble knowing what your site is about (it can't read the text within the image in your header). These words should be included in the title of every page at the very least.

Also, once you optimize your website for search engines, realize that it might take some time (could be months) before your site starts showing up on the search engines. Also, it depends on the search phrase you're looking to be found under.

You'll have to look at how many other sites compete for "Georgetown daycare centre".

I agree with the previous suggestions regarding SEO.

Also, if your willing to spend a little money, you could consider creating a Google adwords account and bidding on the terms you want to appear on. Currently no one is bidding on "Georgetown daycare centre" so if you bit the minimum on that term you would be the only ad appearing un the sponsored links on the right hand side. It doesn't seem "Georgetown daycare centre" gets tons of searches so you likely wouldn't end up spending to much if people clicked on your ad.

Good luck

Why are you concerned about whether Google is indexing your site or not?
