| Hi All, Any suggestions for screen capture software? I would like to incorporate videos from youtube.com and make audio comments, is this possible? Thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions.

| If I understand your problem correctly, I believe you should be able to download YouTube videos, google "download youtube videos" or somin. Other the other hand, a good video screen capture program I remember is camtasia. It wasn't free but it was pretty good.

Simply download the videos (KeepVid and the Firefox VideoDownloader add-on are both good), play them locally in your favourite video player and pause them at the appropriate point (wherever you want to capture the image). Take a screen capture (it depends on what OS you have, but try the Print Screen button if you use Windows, and SHIFT-CMD-3 if you're running OS X). Open up your favourite photo editing software, paste in the contents of the clipboard (probably just CTRL-V or CMD-V) and cut out the bit you want. If you're not sure what I mean by any of this, let me know - I'm happy to go into more detail. With the audio comments, how do you want them to be activated? It's again a simple matter to record a brief snippet on your computer, and play it back when the image is clicked or whatever. |

| I tihnk what you want here is something like Camtasia Studio or SnagIt. Both apps work really well for this sort of thing and are fairly easy to use. I think Camtasia Studio is probably the one you want and its not free but there is a trial version that will let you try it out Camtasia Studio Screen Recorder for Demos, Presentations and Training |

| Another suggestion for screen capture programs - CamStudio. This one is free. It's downside is that it can't encode audio on-the-fly, video encoding works just fine. For audio you can later use something like VirtualDub. I use CamStudio to record online lessons. I record 800x600 video at 12fps and after compressing audio, the files are around 30-50 MB. |

| Capture webcams, streaming video, full screen, part of the screen and even video with sound. Seeing is believing! Use Webcam Video Capture to make people witness what you want to convey through an audio-visual medium. There are times when sharing exactly what you see on your screen is the quickest and clearest way to communicate. * Capture and Share Anything : Webcam(s), any window, part of the screen or full screen to AVI or WMV video formats. * Instruct Others With Quick "How-To" Illustrations : Demonstrate a product, create a presentation with your own audio narration, make a voiceover tutorial, or walk through a website review Caption: ![]() |

| well, i am not quite sure but i think you can try ACA capture PRo.... ACASystems - Screen Capture & Recording, free download it is pretty good to me.and i think it can help you out as well.... ACA capture PRO is a multi-function software...Not only capturing the video, it can capture almost all kinds of files such as swf, all static images, flash on the website, window's menu item...Moreover, ACA capture PRo support selected-area capture function, it is mean that you have a more flexible screen capture resolution.....
