I was just thinking that just might be an interesting idea, as I've lived in an apt now for about 2 months and haven't seen or spoken to even some of my close neighbors (the one directly across from me is really the only one I see often at all). I was just thinking that a myspace-similar site for an apt complex would be a kind of neat idea, and could potentially be something that whoever runs the complex would want to buy from it's creator, as it could make for an interesting advertisement. Unfortunately I don't have the slightest clue how to DO this, I don't even know basic HTML yet, but thought I'd throw this out there for anyone who does and is stuck in the same "extended hotel stay" feeling that I am right now (I'm used to living in a house on family-owned land in the middle of the woods- this is a big change).

That is a really good idea! You could make it for apartments, neighborhoods, and colleges. Would be popular among dorm halls. You could schedule parties, beer runs, orgies, or whatever. Promoting it might be a little challenging. There would have to be a neighborhood moderator (land lords?). I think you should run with this idea! I'd be willing to help out.

Facebook already offers networks. The networks aren't as specific as you are talking about, but I'd still be weary about how easily Facebook could stomp all over you if you tried to attempt this idea for a website.

LOL! I love how casually you put that into the topic of typical college activities. |

I'm talking more about a networking site for a specific apartment complex, not a huge likely corporate thing like facebook or myspace... I wouldn't think they'd even notice.
