Default Remote Support/Surveillance of medium sized business network

Good morning Guys-

I manage a network of about 70 active PCs and want remote control access to 10 of them that are off site and set up through a VPN.

Would ten licenses of pcAnywhere cover that need?

Would i be able to remotely access the computers with the software without the user allowing me to? Would i be able to observe use without interrupting use?

Any other suggestions of software otherwise? My boss doesn't want to use logmein.com's IT Reach software.

Thanks!
Dave

Have you thought about using Zenworks? It allows you to remote into computers, we use it at my place of work extensively. Over a thousand computers in a VERY large building = too many silly users to physically go help at once.

If the majority of these computers aren't doing any specialty tasks and primarily just using email/word/internet why not implement a thin client solution?

I use Log Me In Pro for remote access. It has all the functionality I need and is cheaper than Go To My PC and the other similar software I have looked at. Here is the URL: https://secure.logmein.com/products/pro/ another option which is free is Ultra VNC. Here is the URL for Ultra VNC: UltraVNC: Remote Support Software, Remote Support tool, Remote Desktop Control, Remote Access Software, PC Remote Control
