Exclamation I Need Help Installing A Forum On My Site Using Phpbb!!!!! I Am Spazzing Out Here!!!

okay. here is how it goes....

Ive installed the phpbb in the correct html folder on the ftp server. It did its thing and put everything in its proper place because I placed it on auto. The main problem I have now is finishing the installation!

Heres the directions I am following in order to try to successfully install phpBB3:

1. Decompress the phpBB3 archive to a local directory on your system. DID THAT. CHECK.

2. Upload all the files contained in this archive (retaining the directory structure) to a web accessible directory on your server or hosting account. DID THAT. CHECK.

3. Change the permissions on config.php to be writable by all (666 or -rw-rw-rw- within your FTP Client) DID THAT. CHECK.

4. Change the permissions on the following directories to be writable by all (777 or -rwxrwxrwx within your FTP Client):
store/, cache/, files/ and images/avatars/upload/. DID THAT. CHECK.

5. Using your web browser visit the location you placed phpBB3 with the addition of install/index.php or pointing directly to install/, e.g. http://www.mydomain.com/phpBB3/install/, http://www.mydomain.com/forum/install/ etc. THIS IS WHERE I AM CURRENTLY HAVING TROUBLE!

6. Click the INSTALL tab, follow the steps and fill out all the requested information.

7. Change the permissions on config.php to be writable only by yourself (644 or -rw-r--r-- within your FTP Client)

8. phpBB3 should now be available, please MAKE SURE you read at least Section 6 below for important, security related post-installation instructions.
----------------------------------------------------------------

for the life of me I cannot seem to find that website no matter how many times I type in the url... (e.g. http://www.mydomain.com/phpBB3/install/, or http://www.mydomain.com/forum/install/ )

[I put in vettechjess.com where the mydomain.com is.....]

ANY HELP AND SUGGESTIONS TO GET ME THROUGH TO THE NEXT STEP?!?!?!?!?!?!

Err.. Which directory did you upload it to? (what exactly did you do to upload it?)
Go there and run the install script.. Ex: http://www.vettechjess.com/the-folde...tall/index.php

You'll need PHP and a MySQL database to use PhpBB...

And make sure that it's actually accessible on your domain name; when you log into your FTP account, you might see a directory like "vettechjess.com" or something, make sure you extract it inside of that directory or you won't be able to access it. (although I guess this either doesn't apply to you or you know about it since you already have your site up)
