I am thinking about producing some professional quality videos on DVD and am looking for a good technical overview of the myriad camcorders and Mac video editing setups that are out there. I have access to a consumer grade digital camcorder and iLife, which will work for now while I learn the ropes, but eventually I do want to upgrade to more professional equipment.

I just recently upgraded to Final Cut Pro and a Canon A1....
What a differance it makes I couldnt go back to imovie
check out dvxuser.com a lot of good info there.....
