I just wanted to see how many of you have installed the DoFollow plugin or just removed the 'nofollow' from the comments area. For more info you can check out this post on Dofollow in my blog. By default, Wordpress and a lot of other blog platforms add a nofollow attribute to all links in the comments area. What this does is basically strips the links to the commenter's web sites from having the ability to benefit their PageRank. Removing this can encourage more commenters, but can also increase the amount of spam comments that get submitted. Has anyone removed the nofollow from their blogs? If so, what results have you seen? I just removed it a few days ago and am already seeing the number of comments increase. The more user participation, the better!

I installed the plugin a few weeks ago - can't say I've noticed any difference in comments or spam. But I like the idea behind "do follow", it does encourage comments and a good spam filter should keep any abuses at bay.

I'm joining it. Blogs are supposed to be about community, and I believe that letting people link their sites/blogs in their comments(without it being spam) is a good thing for said community.
