Since I'm a competing webhost, it'd be very unprofessional of me to tell any stories about them - of which I have plenty - but run a Google search on "1&1 Internet" before you go accepting any offers. Seriously.

Perhaps there is a way but it was not easy or intuitive and the support person informed him it was not possible to customize as the folders with the wordpress installation were not available to him, only the standard install from 1&1. The hosting company did return his money as per their satisfaction guarantee. |

I almost fell for them; saw their 20 page ad in a Pop Sci magazine. World's shittiest hosting company. Geocities is better.

There are alternatives out there that I think would provide much better value. 1 & 1 is a massive company - I generally prefer smaller setups that have more personal interaction between the customer, the techs, and the service.
