LOL.... when I read the last part of the blog I was thinking "that's me" lol...

"How can I laugh when I know I'm down!" I often say changing the lyrics of a Beatle song.

mmm... As years have passed I've learned one very special thing. JOY does not depends on HAPPINESS.

No way, you can laugh at your misery, at your failure, at your bad fate, whatever...
Similar for what you Steve, call "Creative observation" (very McCartney-like), yes I believe every little thing is for a good reason and necessary to move forward and eventually good so... I don't worry much. Not "nothing at all", but mostly "I don't worry at All"...

and that easily annoys people... same that laughing when you're down... lol... they use to take you for a fool...
I really worry, I mean I think what things can cause but I choose the best possible result as the one that that thing has happened is meant to be or so.
Today I'm been on a plane. It started shaking because of the turbulences... and I thought "Okey, the more turbulences, the more the planes shakes, the funnier" lol... like a roller coaster or so...

I don't go saying to people to do like I do... LOL... I would be a PD man then, .

To learn to laugh about anything is one of the best thing I've learnt. It doesn't matter what happens... it's gonna be good...

I use to say that my life is "technically a disaster" lol... but not really a disaster at all for me. I feel happier than ever. Some observer would not find what reasons I have to be happy, or to laugh a lot. I like my life anyway, even being that "technical disaster", as long I can see it my way I'm happy.

I, too, have wondered lately how to stay focused on the desired outcome without being distracted by the current "reality". So thanks for these tools. Already the perspective slant is coming in handy.

And thanks for not saying it all with math metephors - for those of us who are sadly lacking math-nerd skills!

Sometimes when I do stupid things or I start getting on one of those negative thought patterns and catch myself, I just burst out laughing, in public, for everyone to see. Then I always get the whole, "What are you laughing at?" I always answer, "You wouldn't understand." No matter how far down we get, there is always a way up, a way to better ourselves. Laughing at how pathetic a situation was and intending for the better. We can all take what we have now and grow the seeds of abundance.

Previously I read this idea in AA’s literature. “Our experience has taught us to make no long-term promises about staying sober. We have found it more realistic — and more successful — to say, "I am not taking a drink just for today."” (Living Sober.)

Ah, so, for example, "Today will be an excellent day" is the wrong way to create that reality?

Hmm.

Ah! I see now, yeah - "will be" is the trap, there - "will be" is forever lost in the future, and the future is never now.

Instead, "Today *is* a good day, right now" - and already, it's better.

And if that leads directly to the LoA...

Hmm.

I just want to say, since I've read this article, I've had a great visual of an angle. There is the baseline - the radian? *and* the ray creating the angle. Both are true at the same time. I am here now, but things are moving upward. It's a very centering and grounding image for me - necessary because I *have* tended to "count my chickens before they hatch": It's OK if I spend this money, because more will come in, right? Even if I don't have a plan for how that money will get here! This has gotten me in trouble in the past, and can creep up in small ways now if I'm not careful.

I also, in my meditation this morning, got in touch with this core white light that's in my center. I can be (and have been recently) blown about by how I'm feeling about myself, letting my current circumstances get me down. I *saw* this large column of light, flowing up my core, from the base of my spine out the crown on my head. Oh, yeah - I forgot that's there! And I can focus on that, make my decisions from that space, not from this hunk of meat I'm lugging around, with its inherent worries, thoughts and dreams. I think reading your article (as well as a conversation with Angela) helped bring my focus back to that core. Both are true at the same time - the joyful, worried, fearful, hopeful, calm body/ego and this column of light.

Gassho ~

I just read this Blog on Impulse and it helped me understanding something about the LoA that previously I didn't understand. Velocity. I always assumed that to manifest an object, one has to visualize, feel and vibrate in allignmment with the end goal, but I have always simply wanted the final goal, I have never considered the canceling effect of the two contradictory intentions. I.E/ My life sucks, but it will be better. It doesn't work like that and I never realised, I suck at logical thinking haha. Anyway...Kudos Steve lol.
