Steve, with the launch of the new forums, I thought that it was only appropriate to let the Digg community know.

Zoinks!

I feel like Han Solo hoping the Millenium Falcon will stay in one piece while it makes the jump to light speed.

That reminds me of Spaceballs the Movie....

Colonel Sandurz: Prepare ship for light speed.
Dark Helmet: No, no, no, light speed is too slow.
Colonel Sandurz: Light speed, too slow?
Dark Helmet: Yes, we're gonna have to go right to ludicrous speed.

Goodbye server stability, hello traffic.

We're now up to 111 forum members so it seems those sign ups are coming in pretty quickly (given that the forums have only been launched for approx. 3 hours). Fear not, I have the solution! Go-go Law of Attraction:

"In its own perfect way, right now, for the highest good of all, I intend for Steve's server to not break."

Good luck with the forum !

On one of my forum boards (phpBB), I usually have 100+ members simultaneously (this is a small site though, around 40,000 members). This works fine. I'm curious to see what's going to happen with such a high-traffic site !

Hi all,

Just want to introduce myself...

I've been reading Steve's site for a while now and find it extrmeely useful and intellectually stimulating. I have high hopes for this site and believe that it will be beneficial for many people. Its hard finding people who want to discuss "out there" topics like the nature of reality lol. Disussion really is the best way to cement and further your knowledge on a subject so i am sure that this place will be beneficial for all who contribute.

Thanks for putting this place together Steve. I hold the highest intentions for its success.

Demk

Steve you are incredible. I'm really excited that you created these forums. I have so many questions to ask and maybe I can help out a few people as well.

Love
Erock

Steve, it's great you've put up a forum here, a natural progression for the large community that frequents your site, i'd like to say you have my goodwill and gratitude for your valuable articles and podcasts that have helped me and entertained me over the last several months since i discovered your website, you certainly have a skill for creating value through writing and it's clear that you put alot of mental labour into your writing, i've tried writing articles and it's just not as easy as you'd think, it takes time and effort, and you are very well off today as a result! congratulations!

Even though i don't know you, and you don't know me, i'd like to think we would be buddies
