When you point your cursor on the little green square right below the “post” numbers of a member or on the far right side on the top line in the member’s profile, a white rectangle will appear and says, “member’s name is on a distinguished road”

Or as I have seen in the case of one member, “member’s name is an unknown quantity at this point”

Just curious as to the exact meaning of that info… I looked it up in the FAQ but could not find anything…

Its the default text set by vBulletin. As you gain more 'reputation points', you're text changes.

So that means that if you have a lot of friends and cronies you're a "good guy" and if you don't... you're not...

Good question shamou, i've always wanted to know that too.

But does the text change? I mean, i've not seen one member on this forum that wasnt "on a distinguished road" (the only one different is steve, that has "disabled his reputation"). What does it take to change the text then?

Another interesting aspect is the ability to "add to someone's reputation" via clicking on the scale above the green box, in the upper right.
