My all-time favourite: "You can give up control, but you can't give up responsibility. Responsibility will still be yours". I don't remember the exact sentence, but this is what it meant. And it changed my way of looking at the world. |

From conscious procrastination -- a great article by the way, so for those who haven't read it, do so now... or later.

I agree with Natsu on "You can give up control, but never responsibility." It has to be the number one quote on this site, at least for me. There are many that give me a good chuckle, but there are too many to remember. Here's to many more meaningful quotes.

"When in doubt, act boldly, as if it were impossible to fail." -Steve Pavlina Don't remember which article this was from, but I loved it as soon as I read it. I even use it as my signature line in my email sometimes |

"I feel it’s best to decide for myself what’s worth living for and what isn’t. I don’t feel the need to have those choices programmed into me by others. But in order to install my own software, I first had to uninstall the bug-ridden operating system that was pre-loaded at the factory — the one that includes the following programs: Get a Job, Make Money, Buy Stuff, Watch TV, Buy More Stuff, Obey, Do What Others Do, Buy Better Stuff, Retire Quietly, Die."

Well, I've just found Steve's work tonight for the first time and this one quote in the first article I read will probably be with me for a very long time: Quote:

"Time is going to pass anyway." Always inspires me. And I beleive this one comes from Steve directly, not rephrased from other sources (such as Buddha's "if you do not accept the gift, to whom it belongs?") |

I met some person who taught me to be strong, who taught me not to be afraid, and who opened my eyes to my potential. I don't know if I had always been clever or I got smarter just thinking I could be... Intelligence tests went up from 29 to 117 and then to 135. And then I stopped doing them because they were limiting. Sometimes you think you are not smart, and maybe you are just shy, scared or afraid. Though... When you think you are not, point is in reality you are not. So I suppose the sentence is right enough.

I really like these quote "If you forget the first nine suggestions, just focus on genuinely helping people, and the rest will take care of itself." from http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/200...-site-or-blog/ |

It’s as if getting a job somehow drains all the free will out of people and turns them into spineless cowards. Today it’s wage slavery. Even well-paid white collar workers are falling into this trap. -Steve Pavlina.

"What you believe is up to you. But let it be up to you intentionally. Choose your beliefs consciously. If you don't choose your beliefs consciously, then someone else will do it for you." Steve Pavlina. (In the article Spirituality Vs Intelligence). |

Business, especially the entertainment industry, is not for the timid. If you base all your business deals on hard logic and ignore your intuition, most likely you’ll be in for a world of hurt. -Steve Pavlina. Last edited by munish; 06-20-2007 at 09:48 AM. |
