What he wrote sounds nice, but personally I think it's B.S. (In the book Maximum Achievement, Brian Tracy talks about emotions and shares this insight Last edited by munish; 10-04-2007 at 01:33 AM. |

Your true purpose is more about being than doing. It points you in the direction of being authentic. My guess is that going back to your roots is about shedding the parts of your life that aren't a good fit for your authentic self. Don't fill your life with stuff that doesn't really matter.

I like this one. It really struck me when I was reading that article. If I hadn’t been through this ordeal 15 years ago, I’m sure I’d be a much more timid person today, ruled by imaginary fears instead of inspired by imaginary wonders. If I could shorten it I would say: Instead of being ruled by imaginary fears be inspired by imaginary wonders. Last edited by Bene; 12-09-2007 at 12:35 AM. |

I drifted away from rigid religious dogma, from fear of risk-taking, from eating animals, from negativity, and from being unable to say, “I love you.” ------------ Risk is my favorite breakfast. -S.P. |

I know the answers to most of the questions in respect to self-development and I can guide others with their problems. But paradoxically I feel devoid of energy to drive my own growth.I am with a reasonably well-paid job but now only looking forward to getting a safe retirement.Following my passion in guiding others is becoming difficult without any energy.

Steve on building his first business: "What got me through the lean years wasn't the promise of greater wealth down the road. It was noticing how much I was growing every month by facing and tackling the various challenges that came up. Even when you're losing, a game can still be fun if you observe that you're becoming a better player." This one is really inspiring to me today. Last edited by Johnny Metal; 07-20-2011 at 03:37 AM. |

| Code: I dug for gold two miles deep, so it was much harder for anyone else to unseat the game from its position in the market. In order to do that, they’d have to outdig me, and very few people are willing to do that because creative game design is excruciatingly difficult. |

"If you claim to have high standards, but you aren’t producing much deliverable output, then I would suggest that your standards are lame. What good is a standard if it doesn’t produce results?" - Steve Pavlina This quote is what got me off my ass. |
