This was a fascinating read especially the part about how the heart over-rides the mind. I'm curious if there is any other part of your body that have a emotional part to it as well. (ignore thinking with your dick jokes) |

My priority list from coherence is more like this: 1. Hobbies, writing, art (When I think of them from coherence, I picture myself taking my time with them and enjoying the process rather than rushing it.) 2. Daydreaming 3. Relaxing 4. Connection 5. Fun Why yes, I AM a self centered person. :P Now, if I wasn't deathly terrified I wouldn't get any schoolwork at all done if I went on a coherence trial (I have to be dragged kicking and screaming to it), I'd do it. :/ |

| Actually this would be a very important topic, although not really relevant to what this article was about. You have mentioned the one and only body part that's able to paralyze the brain completely and take charge of the body - sometimes with devastating results. Maybe one day Steve will write an article about this. |

Steve nails it again It's all energy management, Tony Robbins talks about it, power up your state! Do something! *winks and fist pump* That's all you need in life really. It's all emotion, energy, whatever you'd like to call it. It's in my every conversation, every action, it's in this post, it's reflected in everything you do because you can't separate your action from your energy as this post explained so well. That's assuming you get your broader perspective, you are clear on who you are, your burning desire is on-lock and your concentration on your mission is dead-set, I-will-die-for-this-at-this-very-moment-for-what-I-stand-for, it's already done, a sense of 4-sureness is in your blood. When they sync up, what do you get? So much you don't need to think about or care about. A life driven by ever increasing levels of growth-clarity-connection and awesome, the life of a celebrity. Love you guys |

This blog made me happy. I dont know why, Im not even sure I understood it all as I had about 3hours of sleep last night. If I look at my actions, my 5 top priorities at the moment are: 1. Creating 2.Advancing my creative career: sending emails, writing applications, making contacts, getting my work "out there" 3.Connecting. meeting new people and spending time with them, 4.Learning a new language 5.Consuming culture (going out to see dance, theater, art and cinema) and traveling & Also Spritual/recreation : Spiritual practice and swimming, biking, watching the sunset After that: 7. eating healthy, looking good (includes shopping). 8. Dealing with finances 9. Connecting with family and old friends. I spend very little time at the moment doing anything else. i watch 0 hours of TV maybe 2 films a month, and I only come to this site and facebook once a day. Also, Im away for my normal environment so I dont spend much time with old friends and family. Only skyping occasionally. At the moment Im giving very little attention to finances. Luckily this area always sorts itself out, and mostly I just get paid to do whatever I love through grants, sales (#2.advancing my career) etc. Along with passive incomes Ive set up. So besides checking my online bank account twice a month, I dont "do" much in this area. I guess thats not where my heart is at the moment. All in all Im happy that Im in sync with my heart. I feel like Im having lots of fun. Maybe I will put more time and action in connecting with people. just to turn it up a notch. |

I had to scroll down a few paragraphs to make any kind of connection with your title Steve. That's not a problem with your writing usually. For me, it's a hurdle I have to get through to read the whole thing. I wonder if other people are having the same issue. Just some friendly advice for your future writing. |

| Hi all, I'm a newbie here. I have read this article and do what Steve said about being in coherence. So I feel relax and good and just want to live and enjoy life. Is that mean I have no passion to have it on my priority list? |

Hi Steve, Long-time reader, first-time poster. I really liked the blog post, and was particularly fascinated by the information about there being 40,000 brain-like neurons in the heart. I wondered however what your source for this information is? I Googled it using many different search phrases but the only sites I found were other blogs making the same claim (with no source cited) and people asking on forums whether it is true or not. There was a lack of scientific data on the issue. Since the article does seem to hinge somewhat on this information, could you shed some light on it please? Many thanks, Edd |

Your Second Brain is in your Heart - Believe Your Emotions After reading this I remembered a movie I saw in which Heart of a young lady was transplanted to another lady of about same age when the donor died in an accident... The when this lady met the donor's husband she fell in love with him... May be its not relevant but I just shared... Last edited by Ishh; 12-03-2011 at 08:44 AM.

I like this post very much, because I'm a fan of the teachings of Abraham Hicks. What Steve's writing here is nearly the same as Abraham teaches when they say: Get into the vortex. Get into alignment with your inner being, with source itself. Feel better as much as you can. It's the same system, you get the same results, it's just differently called. Like someone already mentioned Tony Robbins, who teaches "the power of your emotional state", there are endless ways to explain this. Steve, you've chose one of them and it's valid and great. You've written a nice and clear article. I'm curious if you have chosen the "scientific" perspective deliberately, or if that's just what you've felt inspired to do. Because you've could have written it from the perspective of spirituality, too. Both perspectives are completely valid, each one is just more acceptable for different kinds of people. That's what I love about it: the message is universal and for everyone understandable. |

This article really hit my life situation. I really need to focus on financial part of my life, it's clear it needs to be a priority. My emotions are totally against it though. It's driving me insane. I've been struggling with this for a year now, really focusing on financial, but it goes downhill, while other areas of my life seem to improve... After reading the article, I still don't get it what to do. HOW DO I MAKE IT PRIORITY? How do I tell my emotions to stop sabotaging me and align them with my logic, where it's clear money should be priority. Or the only solution is to let go of logic, and follow my heart? Even if it leads me to being homeless? ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhh Last edited by FormerSkeptic; 12-06-2011 at 10:15 AM. |

A good understanding of the fundamentals of the principles of logic does a lot to protect the individual from fraud, abuse, sophism, manipulation and so on as well.

Not sure about you, but I lived reading this post. For some reason, it made me happy and I wanted to share it with everyone! I will do that later in my blog, when I get to my Coherence Trial in 2012
