Well, its sad that I have to purchase the download version which is already available for free.

Lisa McGregor 09-04-2011 09:04 AM

Thanks so much Steve, I've registered and can't wait for it to start. I don't think that there is a single person in the world who wouldn't benefit from this.

Yeah. After listening to Photoreading, which is a complete waste of time, I wouldn't listen to another thing by Paul Sheele. He sounds exactly like one of those depressing, late night, 30-minute scam commercials.

There are a lot of speakers at this even, so you don't have to listen to Paul Sheele.

I'm looking forward to it. LS has made some good stuff so I'm not worried about the quality, just whether or not it's a good fit for me.

If I like what I hear I can see paying, simply to avoid the hassle of having to match their schedule. But I do think they'd get more people paying for it if they reduced the price for the prerecorded version. <$8 a session isn't bad, but when it adds up to $148, you start wishing there were fewer sessions or something... Takes it out of the realm of the impulse buy.

I am looking forward to this starting. I have scheduled this into my RPM plan for the week :)

Thank you for sharing this with us Steve.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow and the beginning of the "festival".

Being a newbie, I've already learned a few things/exercises from the bonus audio.

Thanks again
Lynn

Just a head's up, that the NLP Mindfest has started as of 5 1/2 hours ago. Today there are three audio programs available for free streaming.

Fawn Rose 09-13-2011 10:13 AM

I just started listening to the first programme, anyone else find the bad audio quality disturbing? Obviously I'm not paying for this, but I'm having trouble concentrating on what is being said when all I keep thinking is they should have bought a better mic :D

Criseyde 09-13-2011 11:37 PM

I listened to the first two and so far I'm liking it. All the info (so far) is to be had on these forums, if you know where to look, but it's nice to hear it consolidated. And I got to take notes. :)

Snorkledorf 09-13-2011 11:39 PM

They do seem to have recorded the two main programs for day 1 through the telephone. In contrast notice how Paul's Double Your Reading program is a high quality studio recording. I don't know why they'd settle for using the phone instead of something with better audio quality like Skype, especially since they're planning on selling the set on CD. Seems a strange compromise.

But I guess the important thing is the content not the production values, and for now it's free. We'll see what the audio is like for the rest of the festival.

I agree with the audio quality. I also didn't like the fact that I couldn't rewind :( I accidentily clicked on something, and had to re-listen to the entire first 15 minutes again!

I also couldn't listen to the second one from day 1 or to any of the ones from day 2... they say that they are working on it though and that they'll re stream those ones.

That happened to me too. I was able to fast forward and rewind when I popped the player into full screen mode.

Good tip. I'll try this next time.

Bliss Sage 09-15-2011 05:30 AM

I rewound many times without putting it into full-screen mode.

Also couldn't listen to the 2nd or 3rd audio. I just assumed it was my crappy internet connection. I hope I'm not missing anything. It said they would send an email when it was working again...

Really? I tried it in three different browsers before I discovered the full screen trick. In each of them, everything in the player window was squished -- I couldn't really read the times and all the controls were on top of each other. :D And I have a large screen and high resolution. What browser/OS are you running?

I use Google Chrome. The window was also squished on mine and I couldn't distinguish the times either, because they were on top of each other. It might just be that you both tried to set it back and ended up not pushing in the right place because everything was so smushed together.

The new format he used (or maybe the format I see on my iPad) is working perfectly.

Elfwing 09-16-2011 05:05 AM

I wasn't able to listen to any from the first couple of days -- kept getting a "Come back tomorrow!" page -- but managed to get yesterday's and today's. Excellent!
