Hello all! Hope you are feeling great. I am 24, male, and well past puberty... and I want to grow taller! Now, before the typical "no you can't grow taller after puberty" people say anything, I have done my part of the research and I am 100% convinced that height increase after puberty is indeed possible; although not through physical stimuli. It happens with mind and I have already managed to grow about an inch through mental exercise. I later lost focus and I am trying to re-gain that focus, so the process is still ongoing. So if anybody wishes to say "no you cannot", they should spend their time on more productive things, because I can and I will. The question I would like to ask is this: "What are the side effects of being 6'2 tall with a cover model body"? And how can I get in sync with being that? (I am already working out 6 days a week; got a great workout and nutrition program that I abide by. So my work is mainly internal/mind related) Many thanks in advance |

I'm wondering how this works from a mind-over-matter point of view. Here's my idea: I was listening to one of Tony Robbins' programs and he talked about how he was really short in high school, but he had a growth spurt and ended up being 6 feet, 7 inches. He later found out that this was due to a tumor on his pituitary gland, which released hormones that caused him to grow so tall. This is also why his hands are huge. (Jack Black called him "banana hands" when Tony had a cameo in the movie Shallow Hal). So I'm wondering if imagining yourself becoming taller has the same kind of effect, causing the brain to release certain hormones that increase your height. |

I am not a medical doctor, so I don't know how the body transforms itself while becoming taller. I just know two things; 1-) Your body is just a thought in your mind 2-) Your body knows the best way to grow taller if you so choose In physiological terms, of course re-opening of the fuses at the end of bones, HGH release, bone extension, calcium synthesis are all part of the process. However, I do not visualize or think about those processes. My body will take the shape I have in mind and it will do that the most healthy way. I just need to align myself with it more and need some information about 6'2-ness.. |

The side effects of suddenly growing much taller at age 24 are the side effects associated with a tumor of the pituitary gland in the brain. This leads to a condition called acromegaly. Enlarged organs, facial deformity, huge paw like hands, pre-mature death. Andre the Giant had this condition. So those are the side effects. |

I am conducting a similar experiment though to change myself from a endo-mesomorph cross to more of a pure mesomorph. So don't let me be a wet blanket to your dream. I guess I just never thought I could be taller so I never worried about it. Lots of movie stars are short. They have lots of money and women going crazy about them, those are the only advantages to being tall I can think of "earning potentia"l and "sex appeal" there are obviously ways to get around that while being short, hell you can even be a pro-basket ball player and be short. |

My husband is 6'1 and the side effect of that is that I have to stand on a step to kiss him so it doesn't hurt my neck! Other than that - when he was younger he found that other men liked to try to start fights with him to prove they were 'hard'

My dad was 6'4'' at age 14, and with his muscle mass would be fairly skinny around 270 pounds. As a result he's never really felt like the world fit him. Feet that require size 15 quintuple E shoes likely didn't help Last edited by openeyes; 05-02-2007 at 07:33 AM. |

My 16-year-old son is somewhere between 6-2 and 6-3 and expected to grow a lot more. His biggest problem is banging his head when working on cars and when driving his 5'6" mother's car. He never remembers to move the seat before getting in. |

I'm 22, 6'5 and I guess I have a "cover model" body. I'm not mr. universe but I'm quite fit. There are several disadvantages to it though, especially because of my height (I don't think 6'2 "suffer" from these problems". 1-It's hard to find clothes that fit me well, especially "business" clothes, like suits. They are all built for fat and tall, not fit and tall... 2-Don't even think about flying coach, riding on a small car (especially the back seat),if I'm not careful I can bump my head on the subway's sealing, etc. 3-Some girls don't like very tall guys (fortunately some do 4-You feel very unconfortable when riding in a crowded elevator But those problems happen to me because I'm 6'5, if I were 6'2 I don't I'd have those problems... so definitely go for it! (Although I think your method is kinda crazy |
