This blog entry inspired me in many ways. Someone close to me is currently in the hospital going through chemo to fight cancer. I told her we would visualize a humming bird as a focus and manifest it in our lives. 2 days later a humming bird visited me during an outside meal with friends. Telling her this made her smile through her weak state. I still hope to see a humming bird in my yard with my friend in the future when she is well and will visualize this. This blog entry and experience encouraged me to join this forum and participate. Thanks Steve! |

I petted a wild bird a month or so ago. My cats had caught the bird, and brought him in. I noticed it when the bird escaped from them and flew to the top of couch. The two cats ran up to the bird and were standing guard ready to pounce on him. I chased the cats away, put them in a room so I could figure out how to get the bird outside. The bird was in shock, he had an open wound in his belly. His heartbeat was very rapid. I opened the door to the backyard and tried to shoosh the bird to go outside, but he first flew to the bookcase, and then when I tried to push him off that toward the door, but he instead flew to the other couch. I decided to take a different approach. I got my dustpan, and went close to him. I sent him loving energy as I slowly got close to him. I held out my hand and slowly and gently petted his back. I held the dustpan in front of him, and slowly and gently pushed him toward the dustpan. He walked onto the dustpan and stayed there. I bough the dustpan outside the house to the backyard as he just stayed sitting on the dustpan. Then I formed images of in my mind him flying off to the tree and soon thereafter he flew to the trees. I don't know how much longer he lived due to his open wound, but if he died, it should at least have been peacefully with he fellow birds. |

Yesterday I was having lunch with one of the TED speakers I met last month, and we got to talking about subjective reality and manifesting intentions. When I told him the hummingbird story, he showed me a pic on his phone where a hummingbird was perched on his finger. The mama hummingbird was tweeting at me this morning. And she doesn't even have a Twitter account. |
